Altered envelope
2006

Bank envelopes are altered by carefully cutting and expanding their printed security patterns. These envelopes were designed to conceal their contents. By making precise incisions and delicate folds, the security envelopes are made semi-transluscent. This undermines the original purpose of the envelope, it can no longer conceal. These alterations transform the once ordinary envelopes and and draw special aesthetic attention to them.
